Lets say there is a directory called ABCD and it has only one sub-directory but you don’t know the name of it and you want to change the name of that sub-directory to something. Is it possible to do it via Dos command / batch files etc? I need to automate it.

I need to download and print a list of local businesses. There’s about 100 of them listed on a site that’s using Mosets Tree Directory in Joomla. I don’t own the site.

Is there anyway I can download the information say into an Excel file, so as I can print it out?
That is to say: without having to open each one individually and copy and pasting.

Just curious, I am currently building a website. Some of my php pages are around 6-7kb each. The total size of my website directory folder is cumulatively large. But if I can keep my individual pages small, would the overall size of the folder impact the speed performance of my website?

The answer is probably no, but I want to make sure because I am so speed/file size conscious right now.

A few weeks back I asked about finding the old directory listing that Yahoo used to have. The answer I got was that it is on the left hand side of the Yahoo homepage. That listing is Yahoo services, not the directory listing. The directory listing I am referring to had about 6 initial links toward the bottom of the homepage that were Business, Entertainment, etc. I could then click on the Entertainment link, and it would bring up directory listings or categories such as Music and Movies. I could then click on Music, and it would bring up more directory listings such as Artist, Lyrics, etc. Can anyone help with this question?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I want to delete all the directories under a parent directory without deleting the parent through DOS command line. That case i don’t know how many directories exist under parent.
If it’s not possible via single command line, then can anyone please provide the batch file code so that all the child directories can be deleted in a loop?
    Thanks

I’ve been searching the internet for information on obtaining a published, printed directory of residential facilities for senior citizens, either in my area or my mother’s area. I can find web sites with these listings, but no one seems to offer a printed version. It seems like I’ve seen such directories before, but can’t remember where.

How can you quickly (with a single command) change directory to a directory named fubar that is in your home (login) directory? You cannot change directory to your home directory first and then change directory to fubar. That would take two commands. State how you would do this with a single command no matter where your current working directory might be.

I am running Windows XP Professional.
I am developing a website where one of the functions is to allow users to upload files. When I try to upload a file, I get an error that the access to the directory is denied.
In IIS, I have both Read and Write checked for the directory that I am trying to upload to.
I have also set the physical directory in Windows Explorer to allow web sharing.
I don’t think it makes any difference but I am developing in ASP.NET 1.1.
I think I am probably over looking something small and obvious, but I can’t figure it out. If any one has an answer I would love to hear from you.

Hi, I’d like to turn a web-directory into a WordPress-Blog that also has a Directory/possibility for web-listings. I am looking for a WordPress Template for a blog Blog, in which the entries can be listed in categories (just like a directory) and that passes PR/link juice.
Does anyone has a good hint for me, which WP template I can use for this?

    Thanks Anne
