Verified SEO
I enjoy a good, one of a kind out of the box idea just like anyone else and verified SEO (http://www.verifiedseo.com/) has done just that.
Let’s face it, about ¾ of the guys doing SEO don’t have the first clue what they are doing and verified SEO is no different. Here’s a guy that owns an SEO company and turns around and sets up another SEO company to verify the competition, but that’s not the best part.
To be verified you have to send him a list of all your clients so he can contact them. So…basically you are paying verified SEO to take your list of clients and verify who they are and what service you are performing for them.
Now…not only have you just given your list of clients over to the competition but if this guy can’t sell his service to your clients then not to worry, he also has a lead generation business where people can bid $25.00 a pop and get a potential SEO client.
How does he know they are a potential client?
Because some wannabe SEO just signed up to get a little SEO certificate and had to both pay money, as well as give up all his clients.

I am not a programmer and I would like to outsource the creation of a website. How can I verify that the source code is inline with industry standards and best coding practices. Basically, how can I test or validate that the work done is of great quality (ie scalability, SEO, CDN independent, Database architectural integrity, etc) ?
Are there software available to download or do I need to contract some one to review the code? I have heard of a program called “style cop” for c# development. Is there one for php? Would such a tool be sufficient for my needs? Thanks
Hello there I design sites and designed one for this client the agreement was $700 for a site. and then they would take over the mainatance of the site. I created the site then they sent me different text they wanted. And asked me to change the graphics and other things. I said I would have to charge them extra for that and they agreed. So this was donw and I gave them all the passwords etc. to do it themselves. They paid me and said it was what they wanted. To me that is completion of the contract. A few months later i got an email from them the site had gone down. I am not really sure why but to be nice i got it up and going for them again (site built on joomla) and accessed the data base to get the content that was there and give them a site again. I took the content in the database and saved it locally and then reinstalled joomla for them, and copied the content from the local database (copy and paste into the new joomla and gave them the new passwords etc. So once again they had thier site up, ready for them to takeover. She then emailed me back complaining that the content was not the same as the final draft (even though as i said it was taken from the db) So again out of the goodness of my heart i offered if she sends me the final content I will put that in. She refused to do so saying she already did with the original. She is now threatening to take me to small claims court. I have all the emails including those that said she was happy with my final site. She also said that her manager was never able to login to the original site even though I have verified the information I gave her was right. Do you think she has a case? I also have an email from her saying she was going to hire a seo company so I do not know who she gave the login details to but like I said The contract was for a web site and that she could manage, that is what she got was happy with it (I have emails from her verifiying the completed product) and it was not until 2 months later i heard from her she could not see the site. Thank you
Trish, this is the situation. We had worked together making all the necessary changes until we got to the point where we were all happy.
above is a quote from an email I got from her just days ago. She said it was at a point she was happy. I also think if she was not happy, why did it take her 2 months to tell me and then only after the site went down? Would it be better if i stopped all contact with her if she is threatening legal action? I think it says a lot that of course my frist preferance would be to just part ways but I would rather deal with the courts then her. I have an email from her stating she was glad to pay me the money for all the original edits.
No she does not owe me for the original edits it is just I have it in an email from her that stated quote
“The original payment you requested was $700. and because of the extra work, I paid you $1147.00 which was acceptable to me.”
This reinforces to me she was happy with what i had done. As the above is taken right out of her email.
