In my last post about redoing some old custom silicone wristband websites I said that the old way of doing custom silicone wristband web design is no longer effective.  I’d like to dig into that a little deeper before redoing my old silicone wristband websites to help you see what areas of the wristband sites I’ll be focusing on.

The old way of custom silicone wristband web designs went something like this.

The silicone wristband site owner would contact me and tell me he wanted something similar to the silicone wristband competition but better.  I would then redesign his wristband website with a custom design I thought he’d like.  We would go back and forth with a couple more design changes trying to get a custom wristband design the client would love.  The hope was in the end to get the client something he could be proud of.  All the silicone wristband content was written by the client and we never gave an opinion on the content one way or the other.  The client gave us the pages he/she wanted on the site and we added those pages to the site.  At the end of the day everyone was happy.

The wristband industry may be the only industry willing to use custom and cheap in the same sentence.

Custom silicone wristbands cheap!

The problem is I need to make money and copying the wristband competition doesn’t tell me anything.

I don’t know how much money they are making selling cheap silicone wristbands even if they are custom.  So here’s what I need.  I need a silicone wristband website that tells a story so awesome it makes you me want to build a bridge to my wristbands.

My wristband website story has to get your attention in less than a second and begin creating a desire in less than two. I’ve only got three seconds to convince you that my custom silicone wristband will make your life more productive, complete, happier, better, and richer if you owned my cheap custom silicone wristband.
