Google’s Ranking With a Touch of Panda
Like any good recipe, Google’s ranking algorithm contains a lot of different ingredients, the newest one being called Panda.
Google is constantly making tweaks and changes to their ranking algorithm most of these changes go unnoticed to the average Google searcher. It’s like adding a pinch more salt, a bit more sugar or a teaspoon of some new flavoring. The algorithm is mostly the same, despite the little changes. Panda was like adding flavoring to what was otherwise a dull recipe.
The Panda Ranking Factor
Panda is a new ranking factor that has been added into the algorithm
Panda’s job is to find low quality pages and remove them from the search engines. If you have too many low-quality pages, Panda flags your entire site. This does not mean that your entire site is banned from Google. But it does mean that pages within your site carry a penalty designed to make sure it does not rank highly in the search engines. My question is what does Google think is a low quality page?
Keep in Mind
Panda is only run once every couple months. So if your site gets hit by Panda you won’t be able to tell if the changes you made worked until after Panda is run on the server again.
Google makes small algorithm changes all the time, these changes can cause sites to fall (and rise) in rankings that have nothing to do with Panda.
So far, Google has confirmed when major Panda factor updates have been released. If you saw a traffic drop during one of these times, there’s a good chance you have a Panda-related problem.
Looking at rankings doesn’t paint an accurate picture of how well your site is performing in Google. Look at the overall traffic that Google has sent you. Losing what you believe to be a key ranking might not mean you’ve lost a huge amount of traffic. Indeed, you might discover that in general, you’re as good as ever with Google.

Is it just me or when you go to http://www.google.com, the page is black?
When I search for images on google images or most other search engines, the results tend to show up as just white boxes or a broken symbol, I have google chrome and internet explorer but both just show the white boxes most of the time. please help.
Or do you think Google has good intentions or a bit of both?

Everytime i use google the search works however the links take me to an add page, same for Yahoo. ALSO b/c youtube is owned by google i have not been able to log into my youtube account or create new accounts on several website b/c the “captcha” option never appears due to the fact that it is google related. I have created a youtube account and apparently before I make any comments, or send any messages I need to verify my google account. In order to verify my google account I must give them my phone number, which I don’t want to do. How can I bypass this?
It never did this before but whe I search images on google it throws all the picture on one page. I’ll scroll down and a little caption will show “page 2″ “page 3″ etc. What happen to the regular “Next”button? I reluctantly installed the newest version of internet explorer, and this meant getting google update. So now google tries to guess what you’re going to type while you type it? It’s driving me crazy.
