I have spent the last 10 years designing and building websites and I have gotten sick and tired of the same old, same old BS.

Take http://ataconsultingllc.com/ here is a web design company that appears to be a decent design company, but definitely have some room for improvement.

After landing on their site I notice the bold white text that is smashed together as well as being really hard to read. And the pictures on the left flashes so quickly that I couldn’t read the content on the right even if the website enticed me (which it does not) to do so.

It’s almost like the websites designed to keep me from reading that text.

The pictures that are flashing are distorted some worse than others but all of them have some type of distortion to them. The pictures that are rotating at the top of the page do so at such a high rate of speed that they draw your attention to the distorted photos.

If it was my site I would get rid of all but one picture and I’d make it kickass.

And I think they were afraid not to use every shade of blue that they could dream up. Yes blue builds trust but you’ve managed to use it in such a way that your website screams DON’T trust me.

I see the phone number down lower on the right hand side. Good for you because so many websites don’t even list their phone numbers now days. However, I would move that to the top of the header.

But just like every other website online you are offering too much stuff. You are currently overwhelming your user with your website design, web hosting, SEO, and logo designs

I’m not going to get into the other services that they offer on the website because they didn’t even design their own site correctly and it is the visual element, so why would I expect them to get their SEO correct.

Heck they offer logo designs as a service but do not even have a logo on their own website.

    I’m making a web design company that designs and builds the sites and I want to host the sites that I’ve build on my own website. How would I do this? I don’t need anything complicated, just hosting with a domain name. I need it to be FREE, but I’m willing to pay under £30.
    Please can anybody help?

    I have started experimenting with Expression Web, but also need a membership database to use. I have also been playing with cpanel. My hosting will be with 3ix at the moment unless someone has any better suggestion. This will basically be a subscription website with information about real estate and hotels so I need the database for members and then for information.
